Hazel Elizabeth Liggitt

Hazel Elizabeth Liggitt was born at 3:52am on Tuesday, September 20th, in Greenville, North Carolina. When her eyes opened for the first time, she was in the arms of her Savior, who loves her more than anyone and made her perfect. In her short 38 weeks and 4 days on this earth, she taught her family that along with brokenness and devastation, there can also be peace and wholeness. She taught us that God loves the broken things of this world and can restore them. She is lovingly remembered by her older sister, Ruby Kate, who loved feeling her kick and loved her soft feet and her tongue sticking out, and also by her big brother Jack, who loved holding her. Her parents, William and Brittany, are so grateful that they were chosen for her and will always remember her and cherish the time they had with her. Her family looks forward to the day where they can all be together again and are so grateful for the hope they have in the Cross, which makes it possible. Her family does not have adequate words to express the gratitude they feel towards Donna and Rachael at Vidant Hospital and Dr. Gay, Dr. Taft, and especially Dr. Whitley at Greenville Ob/Gyn who gave us such exceptional and compassionate care and encouraged us in our journey. We are so full from all the love and encouragement we have been given from our friends and family, and so thankful that Hazel knew so much love in her short but impactful life. Hazel's Celebration of Life service will be held at 12:00 pm Saturday, September 24, at Friedberg Moravian Church in Winston-Salem, NC. With Rev. James C. Newsome, Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow at the church graveyard. In lieu of flowers, her family requests that memorials be made to Stand For Life https://standforlife.kindful.com/?campaign=251417 or 127 Worldwide http://127worldwide.org/. Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com.
