Heather Christine Crump, a devoted nurse, beloved grandmother, and woman of deep faith, passed away suddenly on November 6, 2025. Born in Forsyth County on October 1, 1974.
Heather brought warmth, strength, and joy to everyone who knew her. She was proud of her work as a nurse, dedicating herself to caring for others with compassion and grace. Her passions were many—she had a special love for turtles and delighted in collecting anything adorned with them. NASCAR racing was another favorite, and she cherished every moment spent watching races or attending them with her family.
The beach was Heather’s sanctuary. Always ready for a trip to the shore, she found peace and happiness in the sound of the waves and the beauty of the ocean. But her greatest joy came from spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were the light of her life.
Heather’s love for Jesus was the foundation of her life. She shared her faith openly and fearlessly, touching hearts with her testimony and unwavering belief. Her absence leaves a deep ache in our hearts, but we are grateful for the years we had with her and the love she gave so freely.
She was preceded in death by her beloved grandparents Bishop and Treva Hodges, David W. Lambeth, and Geraldine Goode, as well as her cherished niece, Rochelle C. Lambeth.
Left to honor and cherish her memory are her parents, Trudy Hodges and John Wayne Lambeth; her loving children, David Thompson, Travis Thompson, Brittany Thompson, and Savannah Salas; and her treasured grandchildren, Mason Gordon, Carter Webster, Scarlett Gordon, Caroline Lapoint, and Tobias Lapoint. She is also survived by her dear sister, Michelle Hopkins (Travis), and adored nieces Brielle and Taylen. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
The family warmly invites everyone who knew and loved her, to join us for her memorial service this weekend. The service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 15th, at Gospel Mission Baptist Church 4370 Reid Rd, Tobaccoville, NC 27050.
This gathering is open to all who wish to honor her memory. Following the public service, the family will move downstairs for a private celebration to share favorite memories, celebrate Heather's vibrant life, and reflect on the joy she brought to so many.
We will miss Heather dearly, but we take comfort in knowing she is at peace, embraced by the love of the Lord she cherished so deeply.
Hayworth Miller Silas Creek is respectfully assisting the family.
