Helen Blevins Carmola

LEWISVILLE, NC-Mrs. Helen Blevins Carmola, 90, of Lewisville, NC, passed away on Monday, March 25, 2013 at Regency Care of Clemmons. She was born on December 16, 1922 in West Jefferson, NC to James Walter Blevins and Beulah Shatley Blevins. Mrs. Carmola was of the Catholic Faith and she retired from the United States Government where she was a management analyst. Preceding Mrs. Carmola in death are her husband, Samuel Anthony Carmola, her parents, a brother, Howard Blevins and one sister, Mary Lou Blevins. Mrs. Carmola is survived by her son, David Carmola and wife, Susan of Lewisville, NC; two granddaughters, Allison B Carmola and Erin Grey Carmola; six sisters, Polly, Alda, Melba, Martha, Wanda, and Willa; and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Thursday, March 28, 2013 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will be held at St. Mary's Cemetery in Alexandria, VA at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Forsyth County, 101 Hospice Ln., Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
