Helen Faucett

Kernersville- Mrs. Helen Marguerite Carrington Faucett, 94, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 16, 2018 at her residence. She was born on August 24, 1923 in Alabama to Edward Ceylon and Freida Moss Carrington. Helen was a member of Sedge Garden Baptist Church. She served in WWII and retired from the United States Navy.
In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her loving husband, Sidney Wheeler Faucett; two sisters, Alice Bowden and Juanita Carrington; and one brother, Rev. Edward D. Carrington.
She is survived by four sisters, Mildred Ratliff, Martha Stroud, Edith Arthur, and Mary West and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service for Helen will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, April 20, 2018 at Eastlawn Gardens of Memory Mausoleum Chapel with Rev. Tim Duncan officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the Mausoleum Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care Center at 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
