Helen Day Foushee

Mrs. Helen Day Foushee, 95, a 68 year resident of Winston-Salem, passed away May 12, 2014 at Arbor Ridge Independent Living in Kernersville. She was born September 1, 1918 in Roxboro. Mrs. Foushee was a member of Ardmore United Methodist Church in Winston-Salem and after moving to Kernersville attended Main Street United Methodist Church in Kernersville. She was bookkeeper at Centenary United Methodist Church in Winston-Salem before her retirement. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Thaxton Foushee on May 6, 2013. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and is survived by one daughter, Betty Warden and husband John of Colfax; one grandson, Jason Yandell and wife, Jessica of Greensboro; one great grandson, Mason Yandell; one sister-in-law, Frances Timberlake of Timberlake; and many nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be conducted Friday at 1:00 PM Person Memorial Cemetery in Roxboro with Rev. Jeff Patterson officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care Center, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103. The arrangements are by Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
