HODGES
Germanton Helen Louise Crews Hodges, 87, passed away Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at Twelve Oaks Assisted Living. She was born in Forsyth County to the late Cecil and Etta Lawson Crews. Mrs. Hodges retired from Roses Department Store and was of the Baptist faith. Preceding her in death was her husband, R. B. Hodges, Jr.; daughter, Kathie Hodges; two sons, Randy Hodges, Sr. and Jeffery Hodges, Sr.; two sisters, Bernice Crews Trivette and Dorothy Crews Winslow. Left to cherish her memory are three daughters, Ramona Valyou (Michael), Wanda Livengood (Joseph), and Amanda Forrest (Steven); son, Jerry Hodges, Sr. (Pam); 14 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren; also surviving are a sister, Nancy Crews Hart and four brothers, Billy, Cecil, Donald, and Eugene Crews. A graveside service will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, February 22, 2014 at Westlawn Gardens of Memory with Pastor Danny Smith officiating. There will be no formal visitation. The family wishes to thank Mountain Valley Hospice and Twelve Oaks Memory Care for all the wonderful care they provided; also want to send a special thanks to a cherished granddaughter, Lisa Judd and Terry and Cathy Trivette for always remembering Mrs. Hodges. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, 401 Technology Lane, Suite 200, Mt. Airy, NC 27030.
