Mrs. Helen Lee Pepper Jones, 82, went to her Heavenly home on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born on June 21, 1933 in Fulton Co., Georgia the daughter of the late Andrew James Pepper and Mary Ivy Lee Brown Pepper. Mrs. Jones was a member of Maple Springs United Methodist Church in Winston-Salem. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, who loved the Lord and her family with great passion. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alvis Franklin Jones, Jr. and ten siblings. She is survived by two sons; Andy Jones (Nancy) and James A. Jones (Renee), two daughters; Sharon Dimeo (Jerry) and Barbara Mitchell (Danny), eight grandchildren; Lianne, Hannah, Nick, Ashley, Michael, Alex, Josh and Jessica, one great-grandchild; Connor, and a special niece; Myrna Rutledge (Don) She is also survived by numerous other nieces, nephews and extended family. Funeral service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 17, 2016 at Hayworth-Miller Chapel in Rural Hall with Rev. Bev Coppley and Rev. Jeff Coppley officiating. Burial will follow in Crestview Memorial Park in Rural Hall. The family will receive friends from 7:00-9:00 p.m. Saturday evening at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall.
