Helen Wright Jones

Mrs. Helen Wright Jones, 83, of Winston-Salem died Friday, July 4, 2008 at her home. She was born October 27, 1924 in Lynchburg, VA , the daughter of the late, Roy Odell and Florence Maybelle Dowdy Wright. Mrs. Jones was a member of Woodland Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Samuel ""Red"" Jones, a son, Samuel L. Jones and a son-in-law, Jack J. Hauser. Survivors include one son, Willie ""Billy"" Jones; two daughters, Barbara ""Bobbie"" Hauser and Bertha ""Berssie"" Ridings and husband, Harold; twelve grandchildren; thirty great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren all of Winston-Salem and a beloved cousin, Christine ""Teenie"" Ryan of Arizona. The funeral service will be conducted Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Woodland Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Gammons and Rev. Zeno Groce officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
