Helen Marie Moore McGuire

Mrs. Helen Marie Moore McGuire, 81 of Winston-Salem, departed this life on October 17, 2023.  She was born December 13, 1941, in Stokes County to the late James Franklin and Margie Marie McGee Moore, the oldest of three daughters.  Helen retired from Salem College working 46 years as a Bursar. She loved cooking and bingo as her hobbies.  Most of all, she cherished being a devoted grandmother, and great-grandmother.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Jarvis McKinley McGuire son, Kevin Brent McGuire, and sister, Brenda Kay Moore Brannock.  She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Harris, of Winston-Salem; two grandchildren, Devin Harris, and Weston Harris; one sister, Barbara Woodbury (Sonny); two great-grandchildren, Colton and Harper, and many nieces and nephews.  The Family will receive friends Friday, October 20, 2023, from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel.
