Henry LeeRoy Crosswhite

Mr. Henry LeeRoy Crosswhite, 80, died on October 5, 2016, at his residence. Henry was born in Bristol County, VA on June 26, 1936, to Nell Crosswhite. Henry graduated from Bluff City High School. A veteran of the U.S. Navy, he served on the U.S.S. Randolph and U.S.S. Ashland. After residing in the Baltimore for one year, he moved to Winston-Salem in 1960, where he worked for Biltmore Dairy and REA Express. He worked for 31 years at Wake Forest Baptist Health in the engineering department and was a member of Center Grove Baptist Church. He enjoyed his dog Barney, whom he loved very much. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, William Eugene Crosswhite. Surviving are his loving wife of 57 years, Grace Crosswhite; one daughter, Gina Hill (husband John); one son, James Crosswhite (Sharon); two grandsons, Cody Crosswhite (wife Mailys) and Dylan Hill (wife Niki); two granddaughters, Ashley H. Beaver (husband Derrick) and Tiffany Crosswhite; three great-grandchildren, Jonathan, Becca, and Zachary; as well as many nieces, nephews, loved ones and friends. A graveside service will be held at 3:30 PM on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at Westlawn Gardens of Memory Mausoleum Chapel. The family will receive friends from 1:00-3:00 PM on Saturday, October 8, 2016, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
