Mr. Henry Lee Dinkins passed away early Sunday morning July 24, 2022, at his home. He was born in Yadkin County, on February 11, 1941, to the late Paul Franklin Dinkins and Oma Pearl Allgood. Henry was a member of New Philadelphia Moravian Church. He enjoyed gardening, restoring farm equipment and was an avid collector of many things. Henry retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco with 36 years of service. He was a humble man who loved to served others. Henry is survived by his wife Patsy Shoaf Dinkins; two daughters Sandy Walden and husband Roger, and Wendy James and husband Michael; two grandsons Nicolas Walden and wife Taylor and Matthew Walden; and two sisters Pauline Parks and Margaret Spillman. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday July 30, 2022, at New Philadelphia Moravian Church Columbarium with The Rt. Rev. Sam Gray and Rev. Arkon Stewart officiating. Dress casual. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association - Western Carolina Chapter, 4600 Park Road, Suite 250, Charlotte, NC 28209 or American Cancer Society, PO Box 11796, Charlotte, NC 28220.
