Mr. Henry E. Drane, 83, of Clemmons, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on March 3, 2026, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem.
Henry was born on October 3, 1942, to the late Dewey and Evangeline Drane. He graduated from Campbell University with a degree in business and was drafted into the United States Army shortly thereafter. He proudly served two years in Germany.
Henry served as General Manager and Vice President of Thalhimer’s Department Store for thirteen years. He later retired from the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County School System after twenty-three years of dedicated service.
A faithful servant of the Lord, Henry was a proud member of Twin City Bible Church. He was blessed with a loving family and married his beloved wife, Phyllis, in 1969. Together they shared fifty-seven wonderful years of marriage and raised three children whom he loved dearly.
Henry will forever be remembered as a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. His humble and gentle spirit touched many lives, and he will be dearly missed.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Phyllis Drane; children, Sharon Guyer (Mitch), Tami Schuemann (Carl), and Mark Drane (Shannon); grandchildren, Courtney Brown (Lucas), Brooke Falstreau (Aaron), Alexandria Fulp (Justin), and Faith Guyer; and great-grandchildren, Bear Brown, Layken Falstreau, Beckett Brown, Hallie Fulp, Peyton Falstreau, and Briggs Fulp.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 7, 2026, at 5:00 PM at Twin City Bible Church, with Pastor Carey Hardy officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
