Herbert Mack White, Sr.

Herbert Mack White, Sr., “Mackadoo”, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 11, 2024. He was born on December 4, 1943, in Forsyth County to the late Harvey and Gladys Rothrock White. Mr. White attended Gray High School and retired from Rexam Beverage Can Company in 2007. He loved bowling and playing golf as his health permitted.  Preceding him in death along with his parents are two sons, Mack White, Jr. and Scott White; and three brothers, Harvey White, Jr, Rex White, and David White. Surviving is his wife of 52 years, Sharon Sykes White; two sons, Brian S. White (Britta) and Jeff White; daughter, Debbie Day (Lynn); two special granddaughters, Carrie White (Windsor) and her children, Teegan Garcia, Parker Garcia, and Trever Davis; Megan Smith (Jacob) and son, Everette; a total of 12 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Sandra Bovender officiating. Burial will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends from 12-2 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
