Herbert Wilson

Herbert H. Wilson, 89, died on Thursday, June 14, 2018, at Edward M. Poe Hospice Care Center. Herbert was born in North Wilkesboro, NC, and moved from Memphis, TN, to Mims, FL, in 1984. During his ministry, Herbert served as Pastor at Rosemont Baptist Church of Winston-Salem, NC; Grace Memorial Baptist of Memphis, TN; Temple Baptist Church of Memphis, TN; and Tabernacle Baptist Church of Mims, FL. He loved nature, birds and wildlife.
Surviving are two daughters, Katherine Mae Wilson Duncan (Philip) of Titusville, FL, and Robin Marie Wilson Atkinson (Paul) of Richland, SC; two sons, Pastor Herbert S. Wilson (Nadia) of Mims, FL, and Jonathan D. Wilson (Becky) of Titusville, FL; eight grandchildren, Ryan Dieseroth, Lauren Dieseroth, Paul Atkinson, Jr., Lori Atkinson Safestrom, James Burkett, Adam Wilson, Zachary Wilson, and Rebekah Wilson Sparkman; and six great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be at 12:00pm on Wednesday, June 20, 2018, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service. A committal service will be held at 2:30pm on Wednesday, June 20, 2018, at Forsyth Memorial Park in Winston-Salem, NC.
