Hermanus Van Helmondt

Mr. Hermanus Van Helmondt, 86, died Friday, January 3, 2014. He was born April 21, 1927 in Indonesia to Hermanus Van Helmondt and Amoi Kwee. Herman was a POW of the Japanese in WWII. He served with the Dutch Army and the Merchant Marine. Herman immigrated to the USA from Holland in 1961. Herman is survived by his wife Andrina of 51 years, four children, Karina Schiessendoppler, Barbara Frankenfield, Herbert Van Helmondt, Diana Van Helmondt Lingenfelter; six grandchildren, Amy Clay, Scott Frankenfield, Garrett Van Helmondt, Brennen Van Helmondt, Lily Schaap, Amy Schaap; three great grandchildren, Abigail Clay, Teagan Clay, Oliver Clay. Visitation and viewing will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Lewisville with services to follow at Noon (Rev. Keith Bingham officiating).
