H.J. Nelson

Mr. H.J. "Jody" Nelson, 50, of Pinnacle, passed away Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital. Jody was born in Forsyth County to the late Harry and Ruby Berrier Nelson on June 10, 1967. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and enjoyed going to the beach. Jody especially loved his family and his grandchild. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy McKoin Nelson whom he adored; brother, Todd Nelson; and sister, Becky Nelson. He is survived by his daughters: Alisha Nelson and Ashley Nelson; grandchild, Daelyn Coleman; brothers: Keith Nelson, Gary Nelson (Annette), Chris Nelson (Rhonda) and Rodney Nelson; sister-In-law, Jan Nelson; and several nieces and nephews, and a very special childhood friend Dal Logan. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am Friday, December 8, 2017 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel, with Dr. Charles B. Carver officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 7, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
