Kernersville - Mr. Howard Franklin Beeson, 91, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at his residence. Howard was born on May 21, 1926 in Forsyth County to Raymond Franklin and Essie Stanley Beeson. He retired from Sears after 17 years of service. Howard was a member of Union Grove Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the United States Army and served in World War II.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Macy West Beeson; four brothers, Richard Leon Beeson, Albert Beeson, Garland Beeson, and Roger Beeson; and three sisters, Imogene McGee, Shirley Terrell and Linda Trexler.
He is survived by his two sons, Tim Beeson (wife, Amy) and Tom Beeson (wife, Linda); five grandchildren, Shea Beeson, Andrew Bowman, Jessica Idol, Diana Strader, and Angela Roberts; one brother, Stanley Beeson; and one sister, Phyllis Gambino.
A funeral service for Howard will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, April 6, 2018 at Union Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Roberson and Rev. Richard Beeson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6pm until 8pm on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care Center at 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
