Howard Wesley Crews

Mr. Howard Wesley Crews, 84, of Germanton, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. He was born in Forsyth Co. on August 31, 1941, the son of the late John Sidney Crews and Bettie Catherine Merritt Crews. Howard worked for Budd Services and Hanes Dye and Finishing and was also a tobacco farmer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Wilburn and Shirley Ray Crews, a nephew, Christopher Crews and a brother-in-law, Clyde Smith. Howard is survived by two sisters, Virginia Smith of Stanleyville and Betty Parrish of Rural Hall; one brother, Tony Crews (Pattie) of Germanton; two sisters-in-law, Patsy Crews of Stanleyville and Juanita Crews of Walkertown; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at Red Bank Missionary Baptist Church in Germanton with Pastor Gary Sanders officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 prior to the service at the church. The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the doctors, nurses and staff of Mountain Valley Hospice, for the compassionate care they provided for Howard in his final days.
