Howard Mccatharn, Sr.

Howard Simon McCatharn, Sr., 78, passed away on May 31, 2019 at Forsyth Medical Center. Howard was born on August 14, 1940 in New Jersey to William and Jeannie Crostley McCatharn, and moved to North Carolina in 1993 with his wife Mary. A mechanic by trade, Howard loved to fix all kinds of things. He also enjoyed painting figurines and excelled at painting ceramic village houses. He was a good person who was always willing to help anyone, no matter where they were. Most of all, Howard loved his family and they were the most important part of his life.He was preceded in death by his parents. Surviving family includes his loving wife of 48 years, Mary Cutler McCatharn; daughter, Roberta Lyn Campbell; son, Howard McCatharn, Jr. and wife Diana; granddaughter, Emily Marie McCatharn; grandsons, Caden Campbell, Jonathan McCatharn and Tyler James McCatharn; and two great-grandchildren, Rowan and Ella Marie.
