Howard Parrish

Mr. Howard Ralph Parrish, 76, passed away Sunday, April 22, 2018 at Rose Tara Plantation in King. He was born in Forsyth Co. on March 1, 1942 the son of the late Coy Lee Parrish and Annie Mae Swain Parrish. Mr. Parrish was a member of Woodland Baptist Church in Winston-Salem. He loved softball, bowling and fishing. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Sis Simmons, Louise Boaz and Lib Myers; and two brothers, Troy Parrish and Jake Parrish. He is survived by a daughter, Rhonda Parrish White (Wade); two sons, Michael Howard Parrish and Stephen Todd Parrish (Amy), five grandchildren, Meghan Uhl (Nick), Madelyn Long (Sean), Nathaniel Parrish, Jesse White and John White; two great-grandchildren, Tristen Uhl and Asher Uhl; and his grand dogs, "Sadie Mae" and "Rocky". He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and extended family. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 27, 2018 at Woodland Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Gammons and Rev. Vic Pyles officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at Woodland Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be to: Woodland Baptist Church Building Fund, 1175 Bethania-Rural Hall Rd., Winston-Salem, NC 27106.
