Howard Paul Ellis

Howard Paul Ellis, 52, of Kernersville, NC passed away Thursday, December 4, 2025, at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home following a brief illness. He was born August 9, 1973, in Forsyth County. Howard was a 1991 graduate of Davie High School and a 1995 graduate of UNC Wilmington with a BA in Political Science and History. He worked in several healthcare insurance positions, but he most enjoyed his job as a quality assurance auditor for Novant Health.

Howard was fascinated with military history and amassed a library of books, videotapes, DVDs, and miniatures on the subject. He enjoyed spending time with his family and vacation trips to the NC mountains and Atlantic Beach, and other trips through the US. Surviving are his two children, Kathryn Ellis and Ryan Ellis; his parents, Sherry and Bill Ellis; a sister, Betsy Robinson; two aunts, Nancy Holmes and Diane Beal and his ex-wife, Lisa Ellington Ellis.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 20, 2025 at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel, 108 East Kinderton Way, Advance NC, with Rev. Arnold Gosnell officiating. Following the service, the family will receive friends in the adjoining parlor.
