Mr. Foltz graduated in 1942 from Griffith High School. Following graduation, he proudly served in the United States Army, where he was assigned to the tank division during World War II. His stateside military career duties were that of maintaining a Jeep and serving as a driver to a general. Following his two years in the service, he returned home, secured a business degree, and married Virginia Kathleen Boyer, his wife of 65 years, who preceded him in death in 2015. Mr. Foltz was employed by Burlington Industries for 36 years, and following his retirement, he built a new home on family land, creating Deer Run Farm, and began a second career in farming. Remaining active until the last few weeks of his life, Mr. Foltz enjoyed traveling and attending local concerts. He was the oldest living lifelong member of Friedberg Moravian Church, and an active member in the church band for the past 83 years.
