Huong Luu

With heavy and saddened hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Huong Luu, who left us peacefully at her home on November 10, 2025. Her life was defined by extraordinary sacrifice, quiet strength, and a deeply courageous spirit that carried her through every chapter of her journey.

Born in Saigon, Vietnam, on November 29, 1939, Huong grew up in a world that demanded resilience from an early age. That same resilience carried her across oceans when she made the brave decision to flee to America to secure a safe and prosperous upbringing for her three children: Rick Wong, Minh Patterson, and Wah Wong. Her bravery, determination, and love shaped not only their lives but also the generations that followed.

She is survived by her children, Rick Wong, Minh Patterson, and Wah Wong, who will forever carry her lessons within them. She is also remembered by her grandchildren: Christopher Wong, Erin Wong, Ariel Wong, Rhys Patterson, Kyler Patterson, Maddox Patterson, and Jaden Wong.

Though her passing leaves an ache beyond words, we honor the remarkable life she lived and the legacy of strength, resolve, and unwavering devotion she leaves behind. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.

A service will be held at a later date. Hayworth-Miller Lewisville Chapel is serving the family of Ms. Luu.
