Ida Morris Weller

Mrs. Ida Morris Weller passed away Friday, July 24, 2015 at RidgeCrest in Mt. Airy. She was born April 17, 1924 to the late Jennie and William Morris. She was the secretary for I.L. Long Construction Co. in Winston-Salem and also her son's company, A.C. Weller Co. in Pilot Mountain. Mrs. Weller was proud to be a minister's wife while aiding at the church functions and while visiting church members with her husband. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Weller was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Clifford Weller; one son, Arthur Weller; one grandson, Brian Gallagher; three sisters; and one brother. Surviving are two daughters, Barbara Jeffords and husband, Sam of Pilot Mountain and Dorothy Henkle and husband, Reggie of Mt. Holly; one daughter-in-law, Fran Weller of Pilot Mountain; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 27 at First United Methodist Church in Pilot Mountain with Rev. Tom Hunter and Rev. R. Sidney Lanier officiating. Burial will follow at Pilot Mountain City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Mountain Valley Hospice, 401 Technology Lane, Suite 200, Mt. Airy, NC 27030.
