Ilias Ziogas

Mr. Ilias Ziogas, 82, of Winston-Salem Passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at Winston-Salem Nursing and Rehab Center. Mr. Ziogas was born in Epiniana Greece to the late George and Aikaterini Zarkadoulas Ziogas on March 8, 1936. Ilias loved gardening, spending time with his family and going to church. He also loved watching soccer. Along with his parents Mr. Ziogas was preceded in death by his brothers, Aristides Ziogas and Thomas Ziogas; sister, Harikleia Zarkadoulas. He is survived by his loving wife, Fotini Kazakos Ziogas; sons, George Ziogas (Sandy); Theodore Ziogas (Theofania); Daughter, Irene Ziogas; Grandchildren, Alinda; Fay; Elias and Vasilis; brother, Lambros Ziogas; sisters, Panayiota Grampsas and Eleutheria Koutroumanos; several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 11am on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church with Father Demetri Kangelaris officiating. Family will receive friends 7-8pm Wednesday May 9, 2018 and Trisagion at 7:30pm at the church. Memorials may be made to Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 435 Keating Drive, Winston-Salem, NC 27104.
