Imogene Caudle

Mrs. Imogene Aaron Caudle, 83, passed away Thursday, June 14, 2018 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born in Forsyth County on July 13, 1934 to Charles L. Aaron and Ida Mae Coone Aaron. Mrs. Caudle was a homemaker, and worked as a school secretary upon graduation. She was a faithful member of Crestwood Baptist Church since 1953. She was a Sunday school teacher and served 30 years as the treasurer. Mrs. Caudle was a wonderful cook, quick witted, and had beautiful handwriting. She enjoyed playing cards and working puzzles. Mrs. Caudle was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be missed by all who knew her. In addition to her birth parents, Mrs. Caudle was preceded in death by her "adopted" parents, Vesta Lily Chilton and Raleigh Elwood Chilton and five siblings. She is survived by her devoted husband of 65 years, Donald Caudle Sr.; three children: Donald Gray Caudle Jr. (Carol), Melody Caudle Vaughn (Gary), and Daryl Lane Caudle (Donna); six grandchildren: Lindsey, Gillian, Steven (Stephanie), Noel, Katie, and Tori; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. A funeral service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 19, at Crestwood Baptist Church with Pastor Benjamin Webb and Pastor David B. Wood officiating. Burial will follow at Crestview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
