Imogene 'Gene' Knight

Imogene ""Gene"" Knight, a lifelong resident of Kernersville, passed away November 27, 2013. She was the daughter of the late Jolly Knight and Violet Snow Knight. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Dawn Lewis; a grandson, Jake Lewis and a great granddaughter, Ellie Reece Johnson. Surviving are two sons, Randy Barrow and Eric Thorn; two daughters, Kim Howell and Robyn Hege and son-in-law, Lee; twelve grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. She retired from the Forsyth County Sheriff's Department. The family wishes to thank Dr. Paul Horton and the Palliative Care staff at Forsyth Medical Center. A memorial service will be held at a later date. The family request that memorials please be made to Forsyth Humane Society, 61 Miller Street, Winston-Salem, NC 27104.
