Imogene Jones Wilson

Imogene Jones Wilson, 78, passed away August 29, 2025, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born March 13, 1947, in Rockingham County, to the late Claudia Mae Sizemore Jones and Luther Andrew Jones. Imogene suffered with cancer for several months. Instead of flowers, please make donations to the American Cancer Society.

Imogene loved cooking, walking, working in her flowers, reading, and being with her family. She loved going to church when she was well enough to go.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, William Roger Wilson, of the home on Kernersville Road, whom she was married to for 60 years; one son, William Christopher Wilson of Lexington; one daughter, Tina Louise Lewis of Kernersville; two granddaughters, Christy Michelle Wilson and her fiancé, Jeremy, both of Lexington, and Kayla Marie Lewis and her close friend, Katelyn, both of Lexington.

Imogene loved all of her family. She was a member of Gospel Light Baptist Church in Walkertown, NC. Imogene worked for Bradford Village-West Rest Home for 20 years.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Friday, September 5, 2025, at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel. Officiating the service will be Rev. Frank Shumate.
