Irene White Ayers

Mrs. Irene White Ayers, 81, of Winston-Salem passed away peacefully at home on Friday, October 3, 2014 after a long and valiant fight against Alzheimer's. Mrs. Ayers was born January 4, 1933 in Surry County to Everett and Mattie White. Surviving are; her loving husband, Howard Ayers; daughter Renae (John)Soucy; 3 sons, Michael (Cathy) Ayers, Ronald (Sue) Ayers, and Steven Ayers; 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren and siblings, Edward White and Glenn White. A graveside funeral service will be conducted 2:00 PM, Monday, October 6, 2014 at Parklawn Memorial Park; 2730 Peters Creek Parkway Winston-Salem, NC 27107. In lieu of flowers the family would like donations to be directed to the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice and Palliative Care Center at 101 Hospice Lane Winston Salem, NC 27103.
