Irene Ferreira

Mrs. Irene Selma Steingruber Ferreira, 78, was born in Germany on April 16, 1940. She passed away at her home on Tuesday, June 5, 2018. Irene was Vice President of FDC of NC, Inc., her family's die casting business. She was a member of New Philadelphia Moravian Church; serving in the church choir. In addition to singing, her numerous talents included dancing and tennis. She also loved to travel. As a servant of the Lord, Irene volunteered in Haiti, bringing basic medical provisions to the needy. Surviving is her loving husband of 15 years, Alexander Ferreira. A memorial service will be held at 2:30 PM on Friday, June 15, 2018 at New Philadelphia Moravian Church with Dr. Worth Green officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to New Philadelphia Moravian Church, 4440 Country Club Rd., Winston-Salem, NC 27104. Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek is assisting the Ferreira family.
