J. Lacarter

J. Patrick LaCarter, 70, of Winston-Salem, passed away at his home on Wednesday, June 27, 2018. Patrick was born on June 9, 1948 in Galveston, TX to the late Maxine and Johnny LaCarter. He enjoyed playing music and was an accomplished guitar player. He was also an enthusiastic Alabama Crimson Tide fan. Patrick is survived by his spouse, Jill L. LaCarter of Winston-Salem; one brother, David P. LaCarter of Orlando, FL; two sons, Chris LaCarter of Troy, MI and Chason (Ali) LaCarter of Wilson, NC; one daughter, Megan Thomas of Winston-Salem, NC; eight grandchildren, Kamryn LaCarter of Troy, MI, Carson LaCarter of Sanford, NC, Brandon, Blaise, Brock and Laylee LaCarter all of Wilson, NC, and Claudia and Evan Thomas of Winston-Salem, NC; and cousin Nelda (Mike) Goodson of Birmingham, AL. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Forsyth Co., 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103 or any organization of your choice.
