Jack Ernest

Mr. Jack Allen Ernest, 79, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 5, 2018. Jack was born September 21, 1938 in Forsyth County to Grover and Julia Ernest. He worked for R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company, was owner of Jack & Jill's Dairy Bar, and a Warehouse Manager with Presco-Webber. He also proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corp. Jack was a huge Duke University fan and enjoyed watching their games with his brother in law. He was an honest and trustworthy man, who believed in hard work and earning your way in life. He always looked for the best in everybody. Jack was preceded in death by his parents, son, Jack Allen Ernest, Jr. and special friend and brother in law, Kenneth Barber.

Jack is survived by his wife and best friend, Wanda Wadkins Ernest; daughters, Jill Warlick, Shelia Hayes, and Korina Watkins; grandchildren, Brandon Warlick, Hailey Hayes, Helen Waddell, and Will Waddell; great-grandchild, Isabella; sister, Ann E. Barber; and many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, September 8, 2018 at 1 PM at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens with Rev. John Bishop officiating.
