ClemmonsMr. Jack Samuel ""Dutch"" Lindley, 83, passed away Thursday, January 23, 2014 at his home. He was born in Forsyth County to the late Louie Webb and Lucille Cline Lindley. Mr. Lindley was veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Korean War as a Gunnery Sgt. where he was stationed at Ft. Bliss, Texas and Camp Hanford in Washington State. He retired from Suburban Propane with 47 years of service. He was an avid fisherman, bowler, and loved his two dogs, Max and Cuddles. Preceding him in death were two brothers, Marvin ""Doc"" Lindley and Jonas ""June"" Lindley; sister, Lucille Lindley Carter; wife, Adelaide Tesh Lindley and a son, Gary David Lindley. Surviving is his wife, Juanita B. Lindley of Clemmons; daughter, Jackie Spangler (David) of Clemmons; step-son, Marvin Taylor (Julia) of Winston-Salem; three grandsons, Jamie Sheppard, Butler Spangler, Marvin Taylor, III; also surviving are two great-grandchildren, Nick Sheppard and Kourtney Spangler. A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, January 25, 2014 at Parklawn Memorial Park with Brother Charlie Riddle officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292.
