Jack Thomas Owen

Mr. Jack Thomas Owen, 90, passed away Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born June 26, 1923 in Forsyth County to John William Owen and Katherine Fulk Owen. Mr. Owen served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was devoted to his family. Surviving is his wife of 66 years, Virginia W. Owen of the home; two sons, Steve Owen and wife Carol of Kannapolis; Tim Owen and wife Malinda of Germanton; five grandchildren; ten great grandchildren. A graveside service will be conducted 2:00PM Saturday at Rural Hall Memorial Park with Pastor David Wood officiating. Military rites will be performed by the American Legion Post 290 Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 6:00PM until 8:00PM Friday at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel. Memorials may be made to Crestwood Baptist Church, 530 Motor Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27105.
