Jack Lydle Sink

Mr. Jack Lydle Sink, 90, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born February 22, 1926 in Forsyth County to the late Samuel Alfred Sink and Eulalia Sparks Sink. He was a faithful member of Pine Chapel Moravian church where he was a Sunday school teacher, choir member, elder, trustee, and a member of Senior Friends. Mr. Sink served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He owned and operated Sink Plumbing & Electric Company for over 55 years until his retirement in 2009. He was known as ""The water heater man"". Mr. Sink was preceded in death by his first wife of 60 years and the mother of his children, Lois Taylor Sink and his sister, Helen Holder. He is survived by his wife, Norma Charles Sink; his children, Paul R. ""Skip"" Sink (Linda) of Winston-Salem, Anne S. Curlett (Jack) of Winston-Salem, and Sam Sink of Raleigh; his grandchildren, Nat Taylor, Jr. (Carmen) of Raleigh, Winfield Simmons (John) of Charlotte, Ali Sink of Myrtle Beach, Paul Sink of Winston-Salem, and Starr Ratto (Sam) of Raleigh; his sister, Bernice Masten of Pineville; his step daughter, Carol Charles Taylor (Jim) of Gastonia; special Godsons, Blake and Sean Nicholson of Crescent City, CA. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews all of whom were very special to him. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 20, 2016 at Pine Chapel Moravian Church with the Rev. James Demby and the Rev. Dr. Tim Sapp officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00pm until 8:00pm Friday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. Memorials may be made to Pine Chapel Moravian Church, 324 Goldfloss St., Winston-Salem, NC 27127 or to Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Ln., Winston-Salem, NC 27103. The family would like to thank Jack's church family, special caregivers, hospice, family, neighbors, former employees and many friends for their compassion and care during this time. ""His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.""
