Jack Allison Styron

Mr. Jack Allison Styron, 89, of Winston-Salem, passed away Saturday, July 25, 2009 at the Oaks at Forsyth. He was born February 12, 1920 in Forsyth County to Charles C. and Flossie Bodenheimer Styron. Mr. Styron was a veteran serving in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church and retired from Hanes Knitting after 34 years of service. Surviving are his wife, Evelyn Shaw Styron; two daughters, Jan S. Ledford (husband Jerry) of Hudson and Martha PrudHomme (husband David) of Clemmons. A funeral service will be held at 2:30 pm Wednesday, July 29, 2009 at Covenant Presbyterian Church with Rev. Kevin Conley officiating. Entombment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7-9 pm Tuesday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.

Memorials:
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Covenant Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund, 3627 Konnoak Dr., Winston-Salem, NC 27127 or to the charity of the donor's choice.
