Jack Walker

Mr. Jack Donald Walker, 81, of Winston-Salem, went home to be with the Lord, on July 13, 2018. He was born November 14, 1936 in Yadkin County to the late Dwight and Hessie Walker.

Donald was an award winning salesperson for Bob Neal Mercedes for approximately 30 years. He was a member of West Haven Baptist Church. His greatest achievements were his family and his commitment to his faith.

Donald was married on July 2, 1960 to Margaret Shatley Walker. Their 58 years of marriage was an example of love and devotion to their family and friends.

Preceding him in death are his parents, a granddaughter, Emily, three brothers, and a sister. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Sandra Clark; a son-in-law, Randy, and two grandchildren, Nicholas and Gracie; a brother, Joe; sister-in-laws, Edith, Nancy, Rachel and Mae, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Donald was a positive influence on the lives of many people with his actions versus his words. He was an impeccable example of love, faith, and integrity. He enjoyed playing golf and traveling with his family.

A funeral service will be conducted in his honor 2:00 PM Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at Hayworth- Miller Silas Creek Chapel, officiated by Pastor Ed Kuhar and Pastor Nat Thompson. Interment will follow at Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Monday, July 16, 2018, from 6:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home.
