Jacob Lane, Jr.

Walkertown - Jacob "Tom" Thomas Lane, Jr., 55, passed away on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at his home. Tom was born on September 23, 1962 in Maryville, TN to Jacob Thomas ‘J.T.' Lane, Sr. and Ruth Hitson Lane. He was an active member of Love's United Methodist Church and an avid outdoorsman. Tom was employed by Webster Brothers Hardware for over 25 years.
Surviving are his wife of 28 years, Sharon Needham Lane; his parents, J.T. and Ruth Lane; four sisters, Liz Browning (Rex) of WVa, Cindy Burchfield of TN, Emily Bowman of Walnut Cove, and Katie Sparks of Winston-Salem; a number of nieces and nephews; and special family members, Moses, Murphy and Maggie Lou.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, December 17, 2017 at Love's United Methodist Church with Rev. Bruce Updyke officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the church Fellowship Hall.
