Jacqueline "Jackie" Smothers Brown

Mrs. Jacqueline “Jackie” Smothers Brown, 88, of Winston-Salem, passed away at her residence on Wednesday, July 30, 2025. Jackie was born in Forsyth County on May 17, 1937, to the late William Tobe Smothers and Sadie Wood Smothers. She graduated from Clemmons High School in 1956. Jackie was a longtime faithful member of Hanes Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jake F. Brown; daughter, Kim Brown; grandson, Joel Pack; and great-granddaughter, Collins Brown. She is survived by her son, Marshall Brown (Cindy); grandchildren, Elizabeth Brown Sutika (Brad), Wesley Brown (Lauren), and Jeremy Edwards; and great-grandchildren, Jackie Mae Pack, Tillman Sutika, Hinton Sutika, Olivia Sutika, Ellery Brown, and Adley Brown. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, August 4, 2025, at Hanes Baptist Church with Pastor Jason Holley officiating. Interment will follow at Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:45 until 1:45pm prior to the service at the church.
