Jacqueline Kennedy

Mrs. Jacqueline Smitherman Kennedy, 79, of Winston-Salem, NC passed away Saturday, November 5, 2022. She was born April 29, 1943 in Brooklyn, New York to Edward and Beulah Smitherman. She was a loving and dedicated mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. Mrs. Kennedy was a faithful member of Berean Baptist Church where she was very involved in many ministries. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bobby Kennedy, Sr.; a son, Bobby Kennedy, Jr.; a daughter, Lillian Gill; a brother, Charles Smitherman and a sister, Margaret Smitherman Blaylock and a son-in-law, Rodney Jones. She leaves to cherish her memory, a daughter, Jacqueline Kennedy Jones; a brother, Jarius Smitherman; six grandchildren, Jazmine Brown (Willis), Rodney Williams, Jaime Jones, Shemeka Malone (Sergio), Jarissa Jones, Ashley Gill and eight great grandchildren, Gavin, Jiselle, Mason, Madison, Justin, Lillian, Qwameek and Kimora; a goddaughter, Kim Spencer and a host of family, friends and her special pets. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 10, 2022 at Berean Baptist Church with Dr. Ron Baity officiating. There will be a private burial at Parklawn Memorial Park.
