Jake E. 'J.E.' Faircloth

LewisvilleJake E. Faircloth, ""J.E.,"" died Monday, December 16, 2013 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born July 24, 1932 in Forsyth County to the late Jake E. and Mary Hash Faircloth. Mr. Faircloth graduated from South Fork High School. He was a member of Unity Moravian Church and retired from AT&T in 1990 with 39 years of service. After he retired, he became a realtor, real estate broker, and licensed general contractor. Mr. Faircloth started his own company, Faircloth Realty & General Contracting. Preceding him in death was a sister, Lois Faircloth Mock and nephews, Terry Mock and Robert Faircloth. Surviving is his wife, Dorothy Jones Faircloth whom he married on August 4, 1951; daughter, Dona F. Flynn (Gene); two sons, Mark F. Faircloth and Greg E. Faircloth (Kim); six grandchildren, Barkley Flynn (Erica), Emily, Julie, Madison, Joshua, and Mackenzie Faircloth; great-grandson, Mason Spaugh; also surviving are his brothers, Bobby Faircloth (Gail) and Roger Faircloth (Treasure) and his mother-in-law, Mamie P. Jones. A funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Friday, December 20, 2013 at Unity Moravian Church with Rev. Stuart Zimmerman officiating. Burial will follow in the church graveyard. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Unity Moravian Church, 8300 Concord Church Rd. Lewisville, NC 27023 or to Hospice and Palliative Care Center, 101 Hospice Lane Winston-Salem, NC 27103. The family would like to thank Clemmons Village I and Hospice for all the care they provided.
