Mr. James Everett Beamon, 93, passed away, March 6, 2018 at Salemtowne Retirement Home. He was born March 17, 1924 in Pittsylvania, County, Va. To the late Everett Monroe Beamon and Sudie Williams Beamon. James served in the United States Navy during W.W. II in the South Pacific on a P.T. boat.. After leaving the Navy, he was employed with Goodyear Air Craft Co. Later, he went to work with Western Electric as a supervisor. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Beamon, and one sister, Mildred Eller. He is survived by four sisters: Arlene Bunch (Bill) of Clemmons, Novella B. Doub of Salisbury, Helen B. Mickles of Salisbury, and Doris B. Stewart of Dallas, N.C. He had a special love for his fur babies, his cats: Ginger, Punkin, Sam, Samson, and Millie. A funeral service will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Sunday, March 11, 2018 at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel with John Tilton, Elder and Carl Stewart, Elder officiating.
