James Daniel Branch

Mr. James Daniel ""Danny"" Branch, 61, passed away due to injuries sustained from a motorcycle accident, on Friday, July 21, 2017 at Grand Strand Medical Center in Myrtle Beach. He was born in Surry Co. on November 5, 1955 the son of the late Wendell Hardin Branch and Annie Mae Brown Branch. He was an active member of Bethany Baptist Church in Winston-Salem. Danny was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle and friend, who will be missed deeply by all who knew him. He was employed by Commscope in Greensboro and was planning his retirement while in the process of establishing a residence at the beach. Danny loved to spend time with his family, play golf and ride his motorcycle. He tried to be there for everybody he met and meant the world to a lot of people. Danny is survived by his wife, Terri Needham Branch; his two daughters, Cassie Hovelson and Katie Hill (Chad Burket); his 7 grandchildren, Havana Fey, Warren Adler, Kaden Lucas, Odin Lee, Kurtis James, Edwin Michael and Audrie Meredith; a sister, Janice Taylor; two brothers, Bruce Branch (Wanda) and Don Branch (Vickie) and several nieces, nephews and extended family. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 24, 2017 at Bethany Baptist Church in Winston-Salem with Dr. Brad Stamey and Rev. Brian Alverson officiating. Burial will follow in Crestview Memorial Park in Rural Hall. The family will receive friends from 12:30-2:00 prior to the service at the church.
