James Combs

Kernersville – Mr. James Ronald “Ronnie” Combs passed away February 10, 2020 at his home. He was born August 19, 1942 to the late Johnny Clemmons Combs and Frances Irene Southard Combs. Ronnie loved fishing, Nascar, and golf. He was an avid Dale Earnhardt fan. Ronnie had a witty sense of humor and was loved by his neighbors and friends.

Surviving are his loving wife, Cheryl Vanhoy Combs, one son, Chad (Susan) Combs, two grandchildren, Austin and Savannah Combs, three sisters, Marie (Edwin) McMichael, Peggy Hartman, Barbara (Willard) Tucker, and a brother, Chris (Sharon) Combs, and many special nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Friday, February 14, 2020 at Bethel United Methodist Church with Rev. Alan Mears officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall.
