James Creasy

Mr. James Carroll Creasy, "JC", 75, passed away Thursday, January 11, 2018. He was born August 10, 1942 in Leesville, VA to the late Otha Dennis and Addie Mattox Creasy. He graduated from Old Dominion University, Winston-Salem State University, and George Washington University and also served in the U.S. National Guard. Mr. Creasy later retired from Lucent Technologies with many years of service. Preceding him in death were four brothers, Dennis G. Creasy, Gary A. Creasy, Richard D. Creasy, and Fonda R. Creasy. Surviving is his wife of 50 years, Ruth Harrington Creasy; two sons, James Fitzpatrick Creasy and wife, Kelly and Kevin Randal Creasy; three grandchildren, Parker, Abigail, and Grayson; also surviving are two sisters, Sandra Carraway of Chesapeake, VA and Sharon Lauterbach and husband, Bill of Virginia Beach, VA and two brothers, Barry Creasy of Virginia Beach, VA and Shawn Creasy and wife, Penny of South Mills, NC. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel with Rev. David L. Crook officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
