James Edward Donohue

James Edward Donohue, age 90, of Kingsport, TN, formerly of Winston-Salem, NC, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at Holston Manor in Kingsport. He was a veteran of the United States Army Air Corp having proudly served in World War II where he received the American Campaign Medal, EAME Campaign Medal, Good Conduct Medal and the World War II Victory Medal. He was a retiree of Leeds & Northrup with 20+ years of service. He was a member of St. Leo's Catholic Church in Winston Salem, NC and of St. Dominic's Catholic Church in Kingsport, TN.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Florence Donohue; parents, Charles and Loretta Donohue; brothers, Frances Donohue, Charles Donohue and Jack Donohue; and sister, Dorothy Donohue.

He is survived by his son, James R. Donohue (Donna); 5 grandchildren, Heather Wolfe (Josh), James R. Donohue, Jr., Anthony Donohue, Christy Huff (David) and Ashley Fallon (Timothy); 11 great-grandchildren; sisters, Loretta Donohue, Margaret Donohue and Regina Edmonds (Tom); several nieces, nephews and a host of family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 9:00 am - 11:00 am on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at St. Dominic's Catholic Church in Kingsport, TN. Funeral mass will begin at 11:00 am with Father Michael Cummins presiding. A military graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at Forsyth Memorial Park in Winston-Salem, NC.
