James Ferguson, Jr.

Mr. James Sanders Ferguson, Jr., 75, of Advance, died peacefully at his home on Friday, June 8, 2018. He was born July 18, 1942 in Durham County to Estelle Martindale Ferguson and James Sanders Ferguson, Sr. He was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Ferguson. Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Bobbie Southard Ferguson; one daughter, Natalie Moore (Bill) of Advance; two sons, James S. "Sandy" Ferguson, III of Advance, The Rev. Robert Ferguson, FSSP of Denton, Nebraska and three grandchildren, Cass Ferguson, Hayden Moore and Sophie Moore. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at Westlawn Gardens of Memory with Rev. David Gilbreath officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Davie County Schools Exceptional Childrens' Department, 220 Martin Luther King, Jr. Rd., Mocksville, NC 27028 (Attn: Jennifer Custer).
