James Franklin

James (Junior) Franklin, of Winston-Salem died Thursday, October 7, 2010. Junior was born March 26, 1926 in McDowell County, West Virginia. He was a retired automobile mechanic. He was preceded in death by his mother, Nellie Painter Leedy; his stepfather, Abe Leedy, both of Bluefield, Virginia; and a son-in-law, Ronald Holbrook. He is survived by two daughters, Brenda Franklin and Sheryl Holbrook of Bluefield, VA; one son, Grady Franklin of Greensboro; one sister, Evelyn Broyles of Christiansburg, VA; two grandsons, one of Bluefield, VA and one from Bluefield, W.VA; and six great grandchildren. A graveside service with Masonic rites will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 10 at Parklawn Memorial Park. The family has requested no flowers.
