James Marvin Hanes, Jr.

Mr. James Marvin Hanes, Jr., 70, of Winston-Salem, passed away on Thursday, December 1, 2016, at Forsyth Medical Center. Mr. Hanes was born in Forsyth County on July 12, 1946, to the late James Marvin Hanes, Sr. and Mamie Windsor Hanes. James was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He served his country in the Air Force during the Vietnam War. James worked in accounting his entire life following his military service. He is survived by his special friend, Sonya Ketner of Kernersville, NC. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, December 3, 2016, at Forsyth Memorial Park with Dr. Gary Chapman officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Friday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
