James "Larry" Heath

Mr. James “Larry” Heath, 80, passed away Thursday, May 1, 2025, at Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, NC. He was born in Stokes County, NC, on July 20, 1944, to the late Elmer Jefferson Heath, Sr. and Annie Mae McGee Heath. Larry enjoyed working in his yard, planting bushes and trees. In his younger days, Larry enjoyed bowling. He was known for telling great stories and being very dependable. Larry was employed at RJ Reynolds for several years then sold insurance at Southland Life. His passion in life was farming. He loved his family dearly. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his four brothers, Kenneh Gray Heath, Elmer Jefferson Heath, Jr., Bruce Heath, and Everett Gwyn Heath; four sisters, Helen Stevens, Leona Key, Barbara Ashburn, and Hilda Blevins. Larry is survived by his loving wife, Dianne Marshall Heath; sister, Carolyn Heath Bryan; two sisters-in-law, Lucy M. Venable and Brenda M. Haynes; many nieces and nephews, and several great nieces and great nephews that he loved very much.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel with Curt Ashley, Minister officiating. Burial will follow at Crestview Memorial Park in Rural Hall, NC. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
